An Artist in Everything I Do

The varied projects throughout my career have brought me to some interesting places. I restored a historic trim package at a heritage home in Astoria, Oregon, a small town with a remarkably rich history; I was a good match with my expertise working in historic properties.

An exterior painting job in the midst of California Wine Country had me working for an exacting client with high standards of quality and an unusual fine art collection. Careful research on the best products to use in the climate and under direct sun exposure were necessary for this project.

A pair of restaurant décor projects in Florida acquainted me with the nuances of buying paint in the deep South and the dubious virtues of boiled peanuts.

I have worked extensively in a couple of the great houses of Denver—architecturally irreplaceable mansions with surpassing interior craftsmanship and valuable art collections. These postings have been about integrating my work with early 20th Century craftsmanship and observing the architectural legacy of these homes.

In a more pedestrian setting, I worked extensively, and efficiently, for a homeowner who needed cosmetic repairs and painting to get his house ready to put on the market.
