I have completed a wide array of different projects across the country, with an emphasis on residential work. I have also done a number of interesting commercial projects. I’ve worked in bungalows and mansions, modest tract homes, and historic churches.

I maintain the same posture wherever I go: “What is the best solution for this situation? What is the best way to solve the client’s problem on site? How do I use my skills and experience to make it look like somebody really cares about quality?”

I maintain an awareness of the design strength of the home, often helping with input that recognizes context, color, and quality of light in the interior.

Interior Painting

High quality interior painting has been the primary focus of my career. I rely upon my experience to ensure that repairs integrate seamlessly with the context of the room, and that surfaces are painted to the highest standard.

Exterior Painting

As an artist I know that you’re better off if you stand back from your work frequently to see how it looks from a distance. My exterior work is comprehensive—I check constantly to catch the things that are important.

Decorative Painting

Wood graining, glazing, gold leafing, and various other finishes add to my skillset on the job site and can be potential solutions to design problems. (Trade secret: Gold leafing, while you’re doing it, is pretty boring.)

Doors & Windows

These elements are the eyes and ears of the house. I devote maximum attention to these focal points, making sure the careful workmanship highlights what is special about where you live.

Trial and error—it’s how I’ve figured out issues with materials over the years. My figuring out how to correct mistakes is now a valuable part of my career. I also practice the art of reaching out and asking questions of those who know about products and where they work best.

Manners

Reliable, prudent, and thoughtful while in and around your home. I have years of functional awareness of how to occupy space in a setting that is also where people are living their lives. Count on me to tiptoe and not use a hammer drill when the kids are down for a nap.

Focused to spend your money where it counts the most with awareness of your budget and your priorities. I work closely with you to make sure we are allocating the time and materials resourced to address the most important items in the scope of the project.

Owner-Operator

The one who bids your job is the one who shows up and does the job—me! If we need to make a decision on the spot, it happens right then. In a complicated era where it is difficult to resolve problems, I remain clear-headed, straightforward, and accessible.

I am a practicing artist, active for years in the Denver visual arts community. I have an acute perception of color and can spot quality work in a heartbeat.

Creating art develops a disciplined approach to forging hand-eye coordination, and this extends into every corner of life.

As an artist, I also have a flexibility of thinking when it comes to finding creative solutions to obstacles and problems on site.
